With over 24 years of experience as a clinical social worker, I've had the privilege of working locally and internationally with children and families in assessment, therapy, consulting, and training.
My specialty lies in child protection, child and adolescent mental health, and family law systems.

As a Court Appointed Child Expert (Regulation 7) and private practitioner for the Federal and Family Court of Australia, I've spent 14 years providing high-quality assessments and consultations on matters impacting children and families during separation and divorce. I've developed a deep understanding of the Family Law Act 1975 and the family law system, particularly in judicial decision-making and the role of family reports in Court hearings.

In addition to Family Reports, Child Impact Reports, and Single Expert Reports, I've conducted comprehensive Parenting Capacity Assessments for the Youth Court in child protection cases and Forensic Reports in criminal matters related to suspected child abuse and criminal neglect. As a Prescribed Interviewer for Vulnerable Witnesses (Summary Offences Regulation), I've honed my skills in supporting vulnerable individuals.

Through my work, I've gained in-depth knowledge of the complexities and stressors of family life, including separation, divorce, trauma, mental health issues, family violence, and substance abuse. I'm committed to supporting children's rights to safety, security, stability, and meaningful relationships with their loved ones, ensuring their healthy well-being and positive future outcomes.

As a therapist, I believe in a client-focused approach, recognizing that each individual is the expert in their own life. I work collaboratively with individuals and families, using evidence-based approaches to facilitate positive change.

My training encompasses various therapeutic interventions, including:

  • Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR, Advanced Level)
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Art Therapy
  • Dramatherapy
  • Attachment-Based Therapy
  • Family Therapy
  • Solution Focused Brief Therapy
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Neuro-Linguistic Programming

My extensive training and experience enable me to provide holistic and empathetic support to my clients.

I've undertaken training in Australia and London, holding a Bachelor of Social Work, Advanced Certificate – Prescribed Interviewer for Vulnerable Witnesses, Post Registration in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Certification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with Children and Adolescents, and Certification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. I'm a proud member of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
